Caring for dialysis patients is a team effort and requires the input of all the patient’s care providers to be successful. “I am just one small part in the overall care, but I want to make sure that my role is the one that is the least stressful for the patient.”

Outside of his practice, Dr. Sharma is actively engaged in helping to raise awareness about kidney disease.  He routinely gives lectures about access care around the regionand has served as a Board Member on the National Kidney Foundation for the last 12 years.

Dr. Sharma has joined the Metropolitan Vascular Institute to bring his expertise and passion for access care to the Northern Virginia region.“As the field of Interventional Nephrology evolves, I want to make sure that I can be at the forefront of those changes and serve my patients with the best available options for their access needs.”
