Rachel Lindsey is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at the Metropolitan Vascular Institute. She began her nursing career in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area after graduating from Chamberlain University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2016.
As a Registered Nurse, Rachel specialized in Critical Care at Inova Health System, where she developed her communication and management skills in a high-stress environment. She then joined the Metropolitan Vascular Institute, specializing in Interventional Radiology.
During her time as a nurse at the Metropolitan Vascular Institute, Rachel gained experience in pre, intra, and post procedure management, managing radiation safety measures and protection devices, and the diagnosis of acute and chronic conditions. She further developed her ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced, fluid environment, while also acting as a preceptor for new-hire nurses.
While continuing to work full-time as a Registered Nurse at the Metropolitan Vascular Institute, Rachel pursued a graduate degree and completed Chamberlain University’s Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2020 with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. She is an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau Internal Honor Society of Nursing and the American Nurses Association.
