Dr. Shah is the medical director and founder of the Metropolitan Vascular Institute, LLC. He is a Board-Certified Nephrologist with a special focus in Vascular & Interventional Nephrology. He has dedicated his career to the care of patients with vascular disease, particularly in an outpatient setting.
Dr. Shah specializes in all aspects of Hemodialysis Vascular Access. In addition, Dr. Shah has a special interest in lower extremity limb salvage, arterial & venous disease and wound care. Dr. Shah has worked in outpatient-based vascular labs (OBLs) since 2003 and he has been actively involved in ownership and management of OBLs since 2006.
Dr. Shah is credentialed by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology.
Formerly he was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine (previously known as Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University) in the Division of Nephrology. He was active in the education of Nephrology Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students.

Dr. Shah completed his Internship in Internal Medicine 1999, Residency in Internal Medicine in 2001 and then his Fellowship in Nephrology in 2003 all from MCP Hahnemann University (Drexel) in Philadelphia, PA. He holds active Medical Licenses in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, District of Columbia and California.
