Cathryn Hodukavich is a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the Metropolitan Vascular Institute. She began her nursing career in the Washington, D.C. area after graduating from James Madison University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 2005 and Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bacherlor’s in Nursing in 2007. She worked with vascular and thoracic surgery patients at Georgetown University Hospital while attending graduate school. She graduated from Georgetown University’s Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program in 2011 with a Master’s in Nursing.
Cathryn brings to the practice over 8 years of experience evaluating and treating patients with vascular disease and lymphedema. She specializes in the treatment of venous insufficiency, offering vein ablations and sclerotherapy to alleviate symptoms of leg heaviness, fatigue, swelling, and ulceration. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
Cathryn lives at home with her husband, two children, and her dog. Outside of the office, she enjoys running, exploring local parks with her family, and trying new recipes.
